Modest Kolerov: Moscow must overcome Minsk’s blackmail
The regime of Alexander Lukashenko “will inevitably follow the Ukrainian path,” and the agreements that the Kremlin expects to sign with him in December will not be implemented by Minsk.
Modest Kolerov, a former official of the Russian Presidential Administration, stated this at a round table in Moscow, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The nationalist revision of Lukashenko’s regime is inevitable and it will be more and more aggressive, the less successful his blackmail of Russia is. The agreements will not be fulfilled,” Kolerov said.
In his opinion, Moscow must overcome Minsk’s blackmail.
“Lukashenko acts as a qualified risky blackmailer with the characteristics of a gambler and an X-ray for the effectiveness of our state power: whether it follows national interests or continues to capitulate...
Demagogic and military blackmail does not even meet with expert rhetorical resistance from Moscow. Even Lukashenko’s criminal desire to blackmail Russia with the most sacred thing we have – issues of our national defense – does not receive a sufficient answer,” Kolerov said.
