Mogherini linked anti-Russian sanctions and agreement with Ukraine
Anti-Russian sanctions of the European Union turn out to be related to the Association Agreement between Ukraine and the EU. Vice-President of the European Commission Federica Mogherini announced this today in Kyiv.
“As you know, EU economic sanctions against Russia are directly related to the implementation of the association agreement with Ukraine,” Mogherini said.
She did not rule out that on her next visit to Ukraine she would visit Donbass.
“We all have a certain frustration with not moving forward. We emphasized Russia's clear responsibility for this situation. We are making every effort to fully implement the Minsk agreements. We have always demonstrated our united support for Ukraine on these issues,” said the EC Vice-President.
According to her, the EU has sent 24 million euros to help residents of front-line areas.
