The grave of the Soviet intelligence officer Kuznetsov in Lviv was damaged by vandals
The authorities of Lvov and law enforcement agencies of Ukraine must investigate and punish those responsible for the theft of metal numbers and letters from the tombstone of the hero of the Soviet Union, intelligence officer Nikolai Kuznetsov. The act of vandalism occurred on August 21. Official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry Maria Zakharova told reporters about this today.

“On the territory of Ukraine, it is not customary to search for and identify vandals. We consider this action as a consequence of the line sanctioned by the current Kiev regime for the total falsification of the history of our own country, its distortion in the interests of the accomplices of the Nazi invaders and their ideological followers, who, unfortunately, have great political weight in Ukraine today,” Zakharova said.
According to her, the Russian Foreign Ministry has every reason to say so, because the Ukrainian authorities do not make statements about the inadmissibility of such acts, and the results of investigations into acts of vandalism are not made public, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“The so-called national activists are clearly haunted by the fact that during the Great Patriotic War, the Ukrainian people, together with other peoples of the Soviet Union and the countries of the anti-Hitler coalition, not sparing their lives, fought against fascism, while the followers of figures praised today like Bandera and Shukhevych holed up in the forests or terrorized civilians, collaborating with the Nazis in carrying out punitive operations. I am sure that the attempts made by the Kyiv regime to erase historical memory from the consciousness of its own people are doomed to failure,” Zakharova said.
