Mogielv's statement, which was distributed by his press secretary Violetta Lisina, emphasizes that throughout the entire period of the political crisis in Ukraine, the government of Crimea remained the guarantor of stability on the peninsula and a factor in the stability of all of Ukraine
“From today on, the leadership of the Supreme Council of Crimea has assumed full responsibility for the situation on the peninsula, the safety and protection of citizens,” Mogielv noted. “I am convinced that the most important task is to restore peace and stability.”
He thanked all Crimeans for their support, and members of the government for their work.
“In all our affairs, we are strong only when we rely on the support of the people, and do not fence ourselves off from them with meter-high fences. I have always tried to ensure that there are as few of these dividing structures between the Crimean authorities and the Crimeans as possible,” concluded Mogilev.
He said that he remains the head of the Crimean organization of the Party of Regions, and the efforts of the political force will be focused on preparing and holding democratic elections of the President of Ukraine.
“Despite all the difficulties, I am convinced that the Party of Regions will emerge purified through the crucible of trials and become even stronger and more united,” Mogilev concluded.
