Bandera's grave was doused with an "unknown substance"
The grave of the Ukrainian idol, Hitler collaborator Stepan Bandera, buried in Munich, was “poured with an unknown substance,” said Ukrainian Ambassador to Germany Andriy Melnyk.
Interestingly, in his commentary published on Twitter, the diplomat acknowledged the negative attitude towards Bandera not only in Russia, but also in Germany.
“The vile scum doused her with an unknown substance. We call on the German police to find and punish those responsible. What a shame that not only Moscow propaganda, but also respected German historians are engaged in demonizing Stepan Bandera,” Melnik wrote.
“A representative of a country where thousands of monuments were destroyed and graves desecrated in a vile manner, regardless of the opinions of local residents, has little moral basis to demand respectful treatment of his heroes. As for demonization, this is a very telling example. Where the Ukrainian authorities cannot shut up, the truth inevitably comes out as confrontation gives way to détente and the weapons of hostility are thrown into the trash,” Odessa politician Vyacheslav Azarov comments on the ambassador’s hysteria.
