“We could have finished with Ukraine in 2014” – Zhirinovsky criticized Putin
Limiting oneself to the reunification of Crimea with Russia in 2014 was a big mistake on Moscow’s part.
LDPR leader Vladimir Zhirinovsky said this on air on the Komsomolskaya Pravda radio, PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“In four programs, you rarely even say the name Putin, and certainly don’t say anything bad about him. I noticed this subtlety of yours,” said Komsomolskaya Pravda journalist Vladimir Vorsobin, who sympathized with Belomaidan.
“And I, please, can tell you,” Zhirinovsky objected. – Why did we stop in Donbass in 2014? Everyone in Mariupol had already fled; Mariupol could have been taken. In Kharkov they told me: guys, give us weapons. Everything could be done. There was no army. The President was sitting in Kharkov. Why was he not supported in Kharkov?
Why wasn't he given special forces from Belgorod? Who missed it all? Have these commanders in uniform resigned? Everything would be over with Ukraine. This is someone's fault. Did the Ministry of Foreign Affairs help in this matter? No. Was there unity among our generals? No,” the politician replied.
