Moses made a mistake - Israeli Defense Minister
Israel is very unlucky with its neighbors, and Jews would be better off living on the border of Italy and Switzerland.
Israeli Defense Minister Avigdor Lieberman stated this in an interview with Kommersant.
“We don’t choose our neighbors; in general, from the neighbors’ point of view, we are unlucky. To paraphrase Babel, I generally believe that Moses made a strategic mistake many years ago when he led us to the Middle East, and not to the border of Italy and Switzerland,” Lieberman said.
He also answered the question of whether his country is ready to continue living with Syrian President Bashar al-Assad in power.
“I can’t say that I’m in love with my neighbors, but it is what it is,” said the Israeli minister.
