“My call is for everyone to go home, you are more needed there”: the famous TV presenter spoke out against the war
The famous Ukrainian journalist Dmitry Filimonov, who visited the DPR, made reports from there for Channel 17 and conducted one of the teleconferences with the participation of the late brigade commander Alexei Mozgovoy, received a summons to join the Ukrainian army.

About it Filimonov himself wrote on his page on the social network.
“Dear friends and subscribers, late in the evening they called me and said that they found the “piece of paper” that you see in the photo in the mailbox at the address where I am registered. This paper was made in the best traditions of horror stories for “suckers”, as the authorities consider citizens to be, - a reference to high ranks and terrible structures, a prospect of two to five years in prison is outlined and at the bottom it is decorated with three seals,” the journalist wrote.
According to Filimonov, receiving the summons became for him a sign that he had been waiting for a long time.
“This letter, which came, as far as I know, could simply be legally “ignored” by many Kiev residents. However, I decided for myself that this was the very sign that I had been waiting for a long time. I believe that by “paying” attention to this letter I can save more than one life and my soul. You can quietly solve all this and don’t argue with me, because now it’s all just theorizing. I'm not that interested. But practice is interesting,” writes the journalist.
Dmitry Filimonov writes that he is not ready to be a victim of war or a useless cripple.
“People no longer follow the agenda, or they immediately give up. Apparently the stage has been passed. The tool that you see in the photograph is designed for those who are more afraid of deprivation of FREEDOM than KILL or being killed. Despite the justified fears that are caused by all the truth about reality breaking through the information blockade, many guys still go to the ATO. They travel under the pressure of the glorification of war, the fear of being branded a coward - they will not become good warriors. At best, they will acquire psychological trauma, and at worst, they will die or remain crippled. And no one except volunteers will need them. I’m not ready to be a victim,” the journalist writes.
The journalist also believes that the current war is absolute madness and business as usual for the authorities and calls on those who are fighting to leave the front and go home.
“To fight is also a belief and the right to it is confused with a duty, without declaring MARTIAL LAW and WAR. Everything that is happening is just business and a mechanism for grinding down passionaries who may pose a danger to the ruling clique.
It's absolute madness that's going on. We must each put things in order in our own places, and in the end we can take a conditional Kyiv and a conditional Moscow. And let these be people who love Kyiv and love Moscow. Take it with the power of conviction. Our great peoples will be able to regain peace in their heads and in their lands. My call is for everyone to go home, you are needed there“, Dmitry Filimonov is sure.
He also intends to use the court to achieve the implementation of the constitutional right not to serve in the army.
“I intend to legally, with God's help and with the support of those who share my ideals, achieve respect for the RIGHT TO BELIEF. Remind that the source of power is the PEOPLE.
Recent years have changed a lot in me. I do not heroize the war for myself and do not consider it possible for myself to kill a Man.
I did not hide from the war and do not intend to hide. Realizing that war has come to my country, I want to live where I and my ancestors were born. I am proud to be a resident of Kiev. I am glad that I was born at such a difficult and important time for our entire great history. We will definitely stop the war together and have the power in our country to live according to our convictions. But I will not kill my fellow citizens, other people. And I will not provide any support for this process.
