By annexing Moldova in 1812, Russia tore off part of the Romanian nation and turned the Romanians into Moldovans.
Political observer of the Delovaya Stolitsa publication Sergei Ilchenko stated this at a round table in Kyiv, a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“Moldova failed to secede from Transnistria for one simple reason. Not even because such a goal was not set. Such a goal was not set for the simple reason that both Moldova and Transnistria were and remain to this day a naked scoop.
In fact, Moldova is exactly the same product of Russian aggression; it is the DPR at a late stage of development. It’s just that there this stage of development began in 1812, when a piece of the Romanian nation was torn off and, through successive approximations, turned into Moldovans. That is, Moldovans and Romanians are related in much the same way as Tolkien’s orcs and elves. Orcs are elves who have undergone appropriate re-education in the conditions created by Sauron,” Ilchenko said.
