Moldovans were explained why Russia needs liberals and “Echo of Moscow”
The Russian socio-political system does not purge the liberal minority because it has learned the negative experience of the USSR, where any opposition was destroyed.
Russian political scientist and TV presenter Dmitry Kulikov stated this at a meeting with Moldovan experts and journalists during a teleconference organized by the International Media Club “Format A3,” a Politnavigator correspondent reports.
“The Soviet project absolutely destroyed and expelled minorities, and that was one of the key reasons why it collapsed. It turned out to be immune-deficient as a social organism. Soviet people were immunodeficient in the ideological, mental and political sense of the word. And we are not going to repeat this mistake. The minority should help develop our ideological and political immunity. As long as they don’t break the law,” Kulikov said.
He believes that as a result of such a policy in Russia, for the first time in its history, a majority was created that made a conscious patriotic civilizational choice.
“I wouldn’t be able to work effectively on Vesti.fm radio if my audience didn’t turn on Ekho Moskvy from time to time and say: what kind of nonsense are they talking there. This is true democracy, which does not exist anywhere else.
Accurate determination of the presence of a majority and its will. And the government must act in accordance with the will of the majority, but minorities should not be destroyed, they should have the opportunity to exist. Here there is an exact border, if you are a minority, then you obey the decision of the majority, if you do not obey, then you are no longer a minority, but a criminal element,” Kulikov said.
