A Moldovan woman tried to secretly smuggle her newborn baby out of Ukraine in a bag
On the border with Moldova, Ukrainian border guards prevented an attempt to illegally export a newborn child, whom they tried to transport hidden in a checkered bag.

“At the international checkpoint for road traffic “Mogilev - Podolsky”, a Mercedes car driven by a citizen of Moldova arrived to leave Ukraine. The passengers were three citizens of the same country. When inspecting the vehicle, the border guard found a checkered bag between the seats containing a newborn child. As it turned out, the mother gave birth to a girl in Ukraine a few days ago and, in order to avoid filling out documents for the baby, decided to secretly take her home,” the message says.
