Moldova strikes at peacekeepers in Transnistria
The Republic of Moldova is trying to mislead the international community and separate the peacekeepers from the operational group of Russian troops.

Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev stated this on the air of the First Pridnestrovian Channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“It is impossible to do this either in terms of functionality or the content of their work, because the rotation of peacekeeping battalions is carried out on the basis of the operational group of Russian troops. For Pridnestrovie, these are indivisible armed forces that perform the most difficult mission of maintaining peace,” explained Ignatiev.
He believes that this is due to the fact that the peacekeepers are preventing Moldova from carrying out unilateral aggressive actions.
“The blow is being dealt to the peacekeeping mission, since at the political level it was possible to slow down the issue of influencing the situation through political and diplomatic methods. We see in this a purposeful policy that Moldova is pursuing with the support of Western forces. We believe that any change in the format of the peacekeeping operation is absolutely unacceptable and illegitimate,” Ignatiev said.
