Moldova rose up against Rothschild
President of Moldova Igor Dodon urgently convenes the Supreme Security Council in connection with the announced transaction for the sale of the Avia-invest company, which, based on the criminal decision of the previous government, took over the Chisinau International Airport.
Dodon wrote about this today in his Telegram channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I ask the Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure and all government agencies to prepare information regarding this transaction, through which a company responsible for lawlessness at the Airport, including smuggling of goods and escape of criminals, was sold, and the right to concession for the remaining 43 years was assigned to another company,” – wrote Dodon.
The day before yesterday it became known that a controlling stake (95%) of the Avia Invest company, which took over the Chisinau International Airport as a concession, was acquired today by NR Investments Ltd, the exclusive beneficiary of which is Nat Rothschild. Avia Invest is associated with entrepreneur and husband of singer Jasmine Ilan Shor, who fled the country after the change of government.
This deal caused a wide resonance in Moldova. The country's former defense minister Valery Pleshka even called on people to protest against the sale of the airport.
“Just yesterday, someone arrived at our airport who declared himself the new owner of the People’s Goods! Some kind of surrealism! What about prosecutors, government, parliament and others?! Got some water in my mouth! I don’t know about you, but I can’t tolerate this disgrace any longer! I call for protest and impatience!” Plesca wrote on Facebook.
Former Prime Minister Ion Sturza expressed his readiness to call Nathaniel Rothschild to convince him to abandon this deal.
“Gentlemen, during the concession process all laws were violated. The concessionaire did not fulfill the terms of the contract. Terminate the contract immediately, use special forces! Are you afraid of Shor? Will he sue you? Don't be funny! Rothschild?! Do you want me to call him and say: “Calm down, Rothschild. Everything is very controversial, you will have serious legal and reputational problems!” Sturza wrote on Facebook.
Earlier, Igor Dodon stated that the Chisinau airport would be returned to state ownership and the concession agreement would be terminated. According to Dodon, he personally dissuaded Russian investors from buying Avia Invest shares. According to Russian media, he meant Roman Trotsenko's AEON group.
