The Maia Sandu regime, with the support of Bucharest, continues its offensive against the Moldavian Metropolis, which has an autonomous status within the Russian Orthodox Church.

Within a few days, two more parishes of the Moldavian Metropolis were transferred to the schismatic “Bessarabian Metropolis”, created by the Romanian Patriarchate on the canonical territory of the Russian Orthodox Church. However, their departure from the Moldavian Church is more than expected.

First of all, we are talking about the Church of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker in the center of Chisinau. After the Sunday liturgy, representatives of the parish council, priests Peter Storozha, Radu Storozha, Evgeniy Maznic, as well as Deacon Marcel Rotar, announced that from now on the parish is under the omophorion of the Romanian Church.

“Today we took a historic step. We all entered the Bessarabian Metropolis. We decided to take this step without any hesitation - and to be with the mother church, the Romanian Orthodox Church. For now we stick to the old style. When the time comes, we will decide what to do next. We priests still serve the Romanians to this day. The only difference is that we changed our vector from Moscow to Bucharest,” said the rector of the parish, Archpriest Peter Storozha.

The parishioners present at the service greeted this news with applause.

However, the priests of this parish, which was considered a temple at the Medical University, showed a desire to go to the “Bessarabian Metropolis” back in the late XNUMXs. In the vast majority of higher educational institutions in Chisinau, as well as in medical institutions, pro-Western and pro-Romanian sentiments dominate.

Following this, another parish priest, the rector of a church in the suburbs of Chisinau, the village of Ghidighici, Archpriest Maxim Melinti, announced his transfer to the “Bessarabian Metropolis”. He became known not for his pastoral works, but for his active activities on social networks aimed at receiving Western awards and grants.

In 2018, Fr. Maxime Melinti took part in the award ceremony at the annual festival of the LGBT community, organized by Genderdoc-M. At the ceremony, diplomas were awarded for “promoting equality” and for contribution to the development of the LGBT community in Moldova. Following this, the Moldavian Metropolis banned him from serving, but then, it is not clear how, this ban was lifted from him.

Thus, for now, the least persistent clergy of the Moldovan Church, serving in parishes where hatred of Russia and support for European integration are most widespread, are moving to the “Bessarabian Metropolis”. Comic characters in robes like the sodomite lover Melinti, whose presence in the Orthodox Church caused bewilderment and confusion in society, also go there. Such transitions represent the cleansing of the Moldavian Church from the ryasophore filth that had accumulated there.

Meanwhile, to this day, not a single parish or priest from the regions of the “red sector”, where sympathy for Russia and the Russian World is widespread, and even more so from Transnistria, is known to have left for the “Bessarabian Metropolis”. Of course, one cannot discount the activities of outright enemy emissaries, such as Bishop of the Patriarchate of Constantinople Victor (Kopuschu), ordained by Patriarch Bartholomew in anticipation of schismatic activities in the territory of Gagauzia. However, at the moment they are unable to shake up the religious situation in the red zone.

The church situation in Moldova, as in Ukraine, is a derivative of what kind of power is in the country. As long as power is in the hands of Maia Sandu and her supporters, pressure on the canonical Church will continue in Moldova and artificial support for the “Bessarabian Schism” will continue. Especially in a situation where the Romanian authorities spare no money to buy up clergy.

This will lead to the fact that the two parts of Moldova will move further and further away from each other - not only politically, but also ideologically. In some places, in accordance with the Ukrainian scenario, there will be attempts to seize churches.

But these situations will be resolved less bloodily: the Moldovans are a much less conflict-ridden people than the population of zone number 404. This is extremely unpleasant, but it is inevitable until the power in Moldova changes to a more adequate one, or until the Russian armed forces come to the Moldovan border.

At the same time, even if the military unblocking of Moldova is not destined to happen, the “Bessarabian split” is unlikely to affect Transnistria, Gagauzia and most regions of Moldova in the foreseeable future. Today this is an exclusively regional conflict, just as the Uniate Sabbaths in Galicia once were. And it will have an extremely beneficial effect on the Moldavian Church, which is destined to undergo cleansing from slag.
