“A note was sent to the Russian Foreign Ministry. The document is not easy, I’ll tell you honestly. We are studying it, trying to understand what specific questions the Moldovan side poses to us. We are ready to interact and resolve complex issues. I think all of them can be resolved in a working manner,” Zakharova said.
Yesterday, representatives of the government and parliament of Moldova handed over a note to the Russian ambassador in Chisinau Farit Mukhametshin, which states that Moldovan officials at the entrance to Russia are allegedly “interrogated, searched, and humiliated by representatives of the Russian special services.” Officials are advised to refrain from traveling to Russia, it follows from the document.
President of Moldova Igor Dodon today invited the Ambassador of the Russian Federation Farit Mukhametshin to discuss yesterday's incident.
“I categorically condemn the statements and actions of the leadership of the parliament and government of the Republic of Moldova, considering them unacceptable, unfounded and provocative. Someone is very concerned about the positive dynamics and progress that we see in relations between the Russian Federation and the Republic of Moldova,” Dodon wrote on his Facebook page.
Next week he intends to make a working visit to Moscow at the head of a delegation of the Republic of Moldova, which will include presidential advisers, parliament members, representatives of the country's business and economic community. Dodon will note the positive dynamics in the issue of legalization of Moldovan labor migrants in Russia and the export of Moldovan wine.
