The Moldovan opposition promised to denounce the Association Agreement with the EU

According to a PolitNavigator correspondent, its organizers were the Party of Socialists (leader – Member of Parliament Igor Dodon). According to preliminary estimates, about 50 thousand people took part in the action.
In particular, the protesting residents of the Moldovan capital opposed the republic’s entry into the European Union.
“The right-wing Eurounionist parties have proven that they cannot and do not have the moral right to govern the state. The people's cup of patience is full! I am sure that in the new Parliament the majority will be patriots and statesmen! The absolute majority of citizens of our country are for good relations with Russia and “for Moldova in the Customs Union” - this is confirmed by more than a million collected signatures and gatherings of citizens throughout the country,” Dodon said in his speech.
In addition, the leader of the Socialists promised to denounce the Association Agreement with the EU after winning the upcoming parliamentary elections in November this year.
Let us recall that Moldova, together with Ukraine and Georgia, signed an Association Agreement with the European Union. This caused massive discontent among the local population and led to the growth of anti-government and even separatist sentiments in Balti (Northern Moldova), as well as in the south - in Gagauzia and the Taracli region.
