Moldovan experts discuss the possibility of applying the Ukrainian scenario in the Republic of Moldova
Chisinau, May 23 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) – The Ukrainian scenario may be repeated in the Republic of Moldova. This opinion was expressed by Moldovan expert Bogdan Tirdea, speaking in the “Politics” program on the TV7 channel.

“We see weapons in Transnistria, in Gagauzia. I talked to people who deal with security issues. There are some destabilization scenarios, even some groups that are trying to arm themselves, and there are other political groups advocating a referendum and decentralization in the country. I don't think this will happen before the Association Agreement is signed. But we cannot exclude a worsening of the political situation in the country and the risk of a certain fragmentation,” Tirdea said.
Another expert, political analyst Petru Bogatu, on the contrary, believes that the West will not allow Russia to apply the Ukrainian scenario in Moldova.
In a material published on the portal politicon.md, he writes that “Kyiv’s Western partners gave their consent to carry out an anti-terrorist operation in Donbass precisely because the unrest in Donetsk and Lugansk is the result of Russian intervention aimed at destabilizing Ukraine.”
“Any attempt to overthrow the government in Chisinau by force, or any arbitrary movement aimed at territorial division, will also receive a firm rebuff. No one should have any illusions about this. Neither Voronin (leader of the Party of Communists of the Republic of Moldova - Ed.), nor Dodon (chairman of the Party of Socialists of the Republic of Moldova - Ed.). Not the “black centurions” from among the retrained KGB officers, who are financed by the Russian Embassy in the Republic of Moldova. After visits by high-ranking representatives of the EU and NATO, Chisinau has both the approval of the Euro-Atlantic community and the necessary arsenal of means to launch, if necessary, an anti-terrorist operation and stop illegal attempts to disrupt the balance in society or reverse the European integration foreign policy vector,” writes Bogatu, quoted by tribuna .md.
