Moldovan military will take part in exercises in western Ukraine

The organizer of the exercise, which is scheduled to begin on September 15, is the US European Command.. According to the command, 200 American troops and more than a thousand military personnel from Azerbaijan, Canada, Georgia, Germany, Moldova, Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, Romania and Great Britain will take part in them.
During the exercises, it is planned to practice the skills of peacekeeping operations; their participants will not fire live ammunition. Exercise Rapid Trident 2014 was scheduled for July 2014, but due to the unstable situation in Ukraine, it was postponed, NewsMaker reports.
According to the Infotag agency, in 2013, a platoon of Moldovan infantrymen, an aircraft, a group of paratroopers and two senior officers took part in the Rapid Trident exercise in the Yavoriv district of the Lviv region.
