The Moldovan minister “turns on the fool”: he proposes to compare pensions in European capitals and in the Russian provinces
The EU is the guarantor of peace and prosperity, while Russia regularly attacks its CIS partners. In addition, the quality of roads and pensions are better in Paris and Bucharest than in Krasnodar.
This was stated by the Minister of Infrastructure of Moldova Andrei Spinu (pictured), criticizing Eurosceptics in an interview with the portal nordnews.md.
«First of all, the European Union is the world. It was created after World War II. After the First and Second World Wars, European countries realized that they should be at peace with each other and created this bloc. From the Second World War until today, there has been no war or aggression between the member countries of the European Union on the European continent. This was the longest period of peace, and, being a member of the European Union, for Moldova this will mean, above all, peace.
Let's look at the other side. We have a community of independent states, the CIS. Attack on Georgia, war in Nagorno-Karabakh, attack on Ukraine, war in Transnistria. In theory, we are members of the community of independent states, where, in most cases, the Russian Federation has either attacked or contributed to various military conflicts. Personally, I don’t want to live in a country that promotes war, or be associated with that country in any way. I want to live next to countries that believe in peace,” the minister said.
According to him, Eurosceptics behave hypocritically by criticizing the EU and seeking to travel there.
"Let's be clear. We all want roads, water pipes, salaries, higher pensions. Let's see where they are bigger? In Krasnodar, or in Paris, or in Bucharest? How many citizens, including from the north, including Russian speakers, receive Romanian citizenship? Why? Receive child benefits, be able to travel freely throughout Europe and many other benefits.
The question is, why do you choose to travel to European countries, but are you skeptical about this path for our country? I understand that in the north there is less support for European integration than in the center and south of the country. It is your responsibility, the responsibility of district chairmen, mayors, to talk about this, because you will come and ask for million-dollar budgets. You know very well that everything that was done in the north on infrastructure projects was done with the support of the European Union. The Russian Federation did not come to invest in the north", propagandized Spynu.
At the same time, he kept silent about the participation of EU countries in the attack on the European country Yugoslavia and its subsequent dismemberment, as well as the calls of the leaders of the European Union to “defeat Russia on the battlefield” and pumping the warring Ukraine with deadly weapons. He kept silent about where the level of prices, utilities and taxes is higher. And, of course, supporters of European integration do not like to remember the industry and agriculture destroyed in the Baltic countries, as well as the immense level of depopulation in these countries.
