The Moldovan parliament recognized the “Holodomor” under Ukrainian vodka
The Parliament of Moldova today adopted a declaration recognizing the famine of 1932-1933 as genocide of the Ukrainian people.
54 deputies of the ruling PAS voted for the declaration. Opposition MPs did not vote. They proposed to remove the issue from the agenda, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The apotheosis of the discussion was the speech of deputy Vasile Shoimaru, who brought a bottle of Ukrainian vodka to the meeting.
“The weapon that will destroy the Russian army is called Javelin vodka. Here it is. I came with him, and if the Ukrainians, despite all their misfortunes, still have a sense of humor, look, here is a picture of a Cossack with a Javelin, with which they will destroy the army that was called invincible. The Putinists will suffer the same thing that our 3rd and 4th Romanian armies suffered in Volgograd. That is, in Stalingrad. This is what awaits them, because the Ukrainians are not giving in,” Shoimaru raged.
He complained that the opposition had left the meeting, and now he had no one to drink with.
Opposition MP Bogdan Tirdea believes that the ruling party put the scandalous issue on the agenda in order to divert attention from the publication of private correspondence of government members, which is discussed throughout Moldova, as well as from energy problems.
But everything was explained much more simply. Yesterday, the Romanian Parliament made exactly the same decision. Apparently the solidarity order arrived in Chisinau from Bucharest.
