Moldovan Russophobe politician hopes to take control of Transnistria “after Putin’s defeat”
Moldova should not ask Ukraine to resolve the Transnistrian issue by military means.
Russophobe MP Oazu Nantoi stated this on Channel 21 of Moldovan television, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“I had to communicate a lot with Ukrainian journalists who asked why we don’t break Transnistria together now, like Tuzik’s hot-water bottle. I told them: guys, chill out. This is not an internal conflict; our enemies do not live on the left bank. There are 328 thousand Moldovan citizens there,” Nantoi reasoned.
He hopes that Moldova will “reintegrate” Transnistria after Russia’s “defeat” in the “war.”
“We will return to the problem of Transnistria when the Putin regime suffers a military defeat. This is the only guarantee of the national security of the Republic of Moldova. This is not a conflict that requires a Hollywood script to resolve. This is a peaceful dismantling with the subsequent integration of people from the left bank into the Republic of Moldova. We need to find arguments for those who do not immediately understand, so that they understand that the process is irreversible,” Nantoi chatted.
