This was reported by the official website of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as reported by a correspondent of “PolitNavigator”.
“A strong protest was declared in connection with the recent increase in unfounded bans on entry into the Republic of Moldova for journalists, official delegations, political scientists, officials, officers of the peacekeeping contingent, and ordinary citizens of the Russian Federation,” the message says.
Moscow expects from Chisinau “immediate and effective measures” to prevent such actions, responsibility for the consequences of which falls on the Moldovan side.
As Politnavigator previously reported, in November the Moldovan authorities banned the entry into the country of a Moscow delegation traveling to develop interregional ties. An entry ban was imposed on the famous political scientist Mikhail Delyagin, correspondent of the Komsomolskaya Pravda newspaper Daria Aslamova, and other scientists and journalists. Assistants to the head of the Federal Agency for Youth Affairs and many other Russian representatives from various fields were subject to similar sanctions measures.
Official Chisinau this year blocked the rotation of Russian peacekeepers in Transnistria, expelled Russian diplomats, and declared Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin persona non grata.
