According to the ministry's press service, consultations will be held on June 16, 18 and 19 with the participation of representatives of civil society. Their comments will be taken into account when developing the final version of the document.
The plan includes the main priorities for cooperation to ensure political association and economic integration with the EU and is a key tool for monitoring the process of European integration over the next three years.
The project provides for actions that will be carried out by the responsible institutions for each article, as well as annexes to the association agreement indicating the timing and necessary financial resources.
Meanwhile, in Transnistria at the end of last week, representatives of the EU and the leadership of the republic discussed the risks associated with signing an agreement on a free trade zone, which is the core of the Moldova-EU Association Agreement. The parties considered possible options for developing the situation for foreign economic activity of Pridnestrovie.
The representative of the European Commission, the EU's chief negotiator for the Deep Comprehensive Free Trade Area (DCFTA), Luc Devigne, said that he arrived in Tiraspol to discuss the opportunities that this agreement provides for Pridnestrovie.
“I hope that this discussion will help local authorities see the benefits for the development of the economy of Transnistria. The Transnistrian authorities must draw conclusions,” he said.
According to the first deputy chairman of the Transnistrian government, Maya Parnas, one of the main issues at the meeting was the issue of providing preferences for enterprises exporting products to the EU.
“If they cannot take advantage of the preferences, then customs duties on their goods will be applied in the amount of 17%, accordingly, the products of these enterprises will not be competitive in European markets,” Parnas noted, as quoted by the press service of the Transnistrian government.
