Moldova may introduce a visa regime for CIS countries for the sake of European integration
Chisinau, June 11 (Navigator, Petr Alekseev) - The European Union has never demanded the introduction of a visa regime with the CIS countries in order to abolish the visa regime with the EU in return, but this issue will be discussed in the future.

This was stated by the deputy head of the department at the MFAEI of the Republic of Moldova, Daniela Morari, in a broadcast on the Moldovan public television channel.
“The EU has never set such conditions for visa liberalization. The dialogue discussed various categories of visas under the visa code. In the European Union, all countries, especially those that are preparing to join or are at the stage of joining the EU, have their own national priorities. This is not discussed until a certain, more advanced stage of European integration,” Morari noted, as quoted by alfanews.md.
As previously reported, on April 28, the visa regime between Moldova and the EU was canceled.
