Moldova has put Plahotniuc on the international wanted list
The Moldovan anti-corruption prosecutor's office has put oligarch Vladimir Plahotniuc on the international wanted list, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The department announced this today on the official Facebook page.
“Given the neglect of summons issued by the Anti-Corruption Prosecutor’s Office, and due to failure to appear at law enforcement agencies, Moldovan citizen Vladimir Plahotniuc has been put on the national wanted list. The National Anti-Corruption Center also put the suspect on the international wanted list,” the statement says.
The prosecutor's office recalled that Vladimir Plahotniuc is accused of committing a crime under Article 243, paragraph 3b of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Moldova - money laundering committed on a very large scale.
