Moldova has dropped to the level of tropical Africa
Maia Sandu and her party have a very vague idea of how to carry out reforms and pull the country out of the crisis.
Political analyst Anatoly Taranu said this on the air of the program “On the facts with Yulia Fedorova” on the Exclusiv TV channel.
The expert is skeptical about Sandu’s project for Moldova’s accession to the EU in 2030, in one package with Ukraine and the Balkans. He believes that the project of European integration of Moldova through its entry into Romania would have much more prospects.
“There is a political movement in Moldova that says: let’s solve the problem radically - unite with Romania, return home. And everything is fine. But so far this trend is not dominant. The problem is that we have a project that actually solves a problem, but creates others.
They say that in 2030 we will be in the European Union. I remember how in 1980 we had to live under communism. We love to live in myths. We were taught this from the Soviet Union,” Tsăranu noted.
According to the expert, Moldovan society is approaching the moment when a very serious discussion will begin within society: what to do with this state in conditions of total crisis and poverty?
“Recently, absolute poverty has increased by 8%. 30% of Moldovan society lives below the absolute poverty line. 2.75 dollars is the amount on which every third Moldovan lives. This is the level of tropical Africa!” – Tsaranu emphasized.
