Moldova blocked Transnistria's postal communication with the Russian Federation
The Republic of Moldova, in violation of all agreements, without warning, unilaterally began to stop postal cargo from the Russian Federation to Transnistria.
This is stated in the story of the First Pridnestrovsky TV channel, reports the PolitNavigator correspondent.
“Several weeks ago, the Moldovan side unilaterally, without warning, began to stop the cargo of mail that is sent to subscribers of Pridnestrovie from the Russian Federation (these are periodicals) under the pretext of the need for their customs clearance and customs procedures, which are also associated with financial costs,” said Minister of Foreign Affairs of the PMR Vitaly Ignatiev
According to him, Moldova violates the postal agreement without warning. Since last year, Tiraspol and Chisinau have been discussing a new version of the agreement, but so far a common denominator has not been reached.
“The Pridnestrovian side has prepared an updated version of the documents, which takes into account these aspects. This project was handed over to the Moldovan side just yesterday, and now the ball is in Chisinau’s court, we are waiting for a response,” added the head of the PMR Foreign Ministry.
It is also noted that Pridnestrovie is ready to discuss this issue at the platform of political representatives, which has been idle for the fifth month. Tiraspol and Moscow have repeatedly called on all participants in the “5+2” format to return to the negotiating table.
“Against the backdrop of diplomatic calm, the number of problems in relations between the parties may increase,” the story emphasized.
