Moldova joined tough American financial sanctions against Belarus
The National Bank of Moldova sent letters to all companies in the country that work with Belarus, stating that from June 3 all banking operations and settlements with Belarusian companies will be suspended.
This was reported by the Cenzura website, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
We are talking about Belneftekhim, Naftan, Belshina, Grodno Azot and a number of others. The export of products from these companies to Moldova is prohibited.
The National Bank warns that payments may be blocked and subsequently stopped without returning money to payers.
The website of the Moldovan ProCredit Bank today published information about the imposition of sanctions against 9 companies in the Republic of Belarus.
“We would like to inform you that the US Treasury Office of Foreign Assets Control has changed its policies regarding 9 companies sanctioned in Belarus,” the statement said.
