Moldova returns to a state of war with Transnistria
Moldova is making repeated attempts to return relations with Transnistria to the state of the early 90s, when an armed conflict occurred on the Dniester.
The co-chairman of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) from the PMR, Oleg Belyakov, stated this in an interview with the First Pridnestrovsky TV channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Moldova has set a course towards unbalancing relations and returning to the events of almost 92. If no negotiations are held, then we still remain parties to the conflict.
The only mechanism that can ensure peace and continuation of negotiations is a peacekeeping operation. Someone needs to artificially complicate the situation, but definitely not Piednestrovie,” Belyakov said.
Let us remind you that since the beginning of this year, Moldova has provoked problems for Pridnestrovian drivers on the border with Ukraine, threatened to aggravate the situation at peacekeeping posts in the Dubossary region and started a banking blockade of Transnistria.
