“Well done!” – Chinese military correspondent to DPR fighters near Mariupol
Together with the troops of the People's Militia of the DPR and Donetsk journalists, the war correspondent of the Chinese television channel "Phoenix TV" Liu Yu Guan is advancing towards Mariupol.
His reports appear on Chinese television, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
Wearing a military-colored bulletproof vest and a helmet, the Chinese correspondent shows the PRC audience the liberation of Donbass and the atrocities of Ukrainian neo-Nazis shelling peaceful areas.
He also interviews local residents and military personnel of the NM DPR who participated in the liberation of Mariupol. At the same time, he asks questions in Russian. The shooting location is about a kilometer from the combat zone.
It should be noted that the Phoenix TV channel is partly state-owned, but its co-owner is the private company China Unicom.
Local social networks suggested that the correspondent’s work was coordinated with the PRC leadership.
“Given the equipment he’s wearing, everything is authorized at the highest level - a Chinese journalist would never be allowed to appear on camera like that without a direct indication that ‘it’s possible,’” they are confident on social networks.
At the same time, initiatives to support the Russian leadership are being launched in China itself. So, in one of the stores on the stand of Russian candies “Krokant” there is the inscription “Relax with Putin and Kadyrov” and photographs of politicians.
