Young people are fleeing from Ukraine to Poland, and then back in horror
Young Ukrainians leave en masse to work in Poland, but then more than half seek to return, unable to withstand the slave-like working conditions. Lawyer Olga Barsukova reported this on Poltava TV Ltava, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

“I was the head of the human resources department of a group of companies that provide services. Somewhere in January, we began to lose qualified young people, 22-28 years old. They worked as long as they could, in parallel with their studies, and then left. But after 2-3 months they began to return.
They believed that Poland was heaven on earth, when they arrived, they would immediately be given a suitcase with money, and everything would be very good. We talked to every person who wanted to leave us. This was part of my job responsibilities, I explained their state of legalization, the fact that they have almost no chance of becoming a citizen of Poland, which does not always happen as promised.
In fact, people came for 12-hour shifts…. My friend went there, he understood that the salary was not that big, but more than in Poltava. And they promised a life card - if you work for three months, you will be legalized, and a completely different level of payment...
He went there and heroically endured work at the sausage factory. They had a norm of 10 hours a day, on Friday they took 15 hours a day. If you work 12-15 hours a day in Ukraine, you can get paid even more than in Poland,” she said.
According to her, the working conditions in Poland did not suit many of those who left, so people returned after a while.
“Probably 60 percent returned. The same friend of mine who was told that the life card might be available in a month, maybe some other time, his contract ended, 6 months, he ran home. He said that it was possible to live and work, but health problems were already beginning. He said that many Ukrainians came to this same job through the agency, they entered this workshop and immediately ran away, without even starting work. They just couldn't stand it. My question is: where did these people return? The agency took some money. You come - no rights, you are almost on slave terms. It’s good if you’re lucky and earn some money, but, as experience shows, most often you come to Poland and no one is waiting there,” she said.
