Youth camp "Tavrida" in Crimea is accused of illegal seizure of the coast

The camp, built near Sudak to host the annual youth forum “Tavrida,” which educates representatives of actors, screenwriters and representatives of other creative professions, illegally occupied part of the coast, which violates a number of laws of the Russian Federation.

Crimean social activist Alexander Talipov spoke about this on his blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.

The blogger published a video showing that the passage along the shore to the forum site is blocked by a fence that extends into the sea. Talipov emphasized that this violates Russian law, but the Sudak administration does not react, despite the order of the prosecutor's office.

“Our constitutional rights were grossly violated by this, some pseudo forum “Tavrida”. It’s just that the passage to the sea was blocked by a fence.

This is a violation of my constitutional rights, Article 27 of the Constitution, this is a violation of Article 6 of the Water Code of the Russian Federation, the right to unconditional use of the coastal strip.

Well, look at the condition of the fenced beach. They created a closed recreation area for “their own people.” This concrete base of the fence goes into the sea, and they blocked it over the water so that someone wouldn’t cross there. The whole beach is shit...

Serfs have no right to walk here. I’ve probably walked about three kilometers along the coast, over pebbles, and there’s this fence. “I have already written a statement to the prosecutor’s office twice about this fence, each time they answer me that the administration has been brought to administrative responsibility, the administration of the city of Sudak, and the administration of the city of Sudak is doing nothing to restore the constitutional rights of citizens,” Talipov said.
