“We have a deadline of March 2017. The new president will need to decide whether or not to extend the sanctions against us. Moreover, by March the formation of the administration will largely be completed,” Sidorov said.
The expert believes that the new US president considers his country’s main opponents not Russia, but China.
“Judging by Trump’s first steps, we can expect that he will place the main emphasis on confrontation not with Russia, but with China. Most likely, this confrontation will be of an economic nature. Therefore, the first thing Trump will do after his inauguration is to accuse China of currency manipulation,” Sidorov said.
