Montyan: Why are the “honest media” silent about the Berkut atrocities in France?
The French government used much harsher methods to suppress protests than Viktor Yanukovych’s “evil government” during the Euromaidan, but neither Western nor Ukrainian media focused on the actions of law enforcement officers in Paris.
Kiev lawyer Tatyana Montyan stated this in her video blog, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“Many groups of the population are taking part in the riots - from workers to students. Have you heard about this on TV? The European and American media don’t shout anything about “their children” if it’s in France and not some kind of Maidan. Although on the streets of Paris and many French cities such violence is happening that the T-shirt is wrapped up,” she said
Authorities use water cannons, tear gas, and rubber bullets.
“I would like to remind you: we still did not use water cannons to suppress riots in winter. The same applies to shooting rubber bullets and tear gas into a crowd. We are not talking about spray cans, which every schoolchild now has, but about special carbines. And after that, tell us about the animals from the “Berkut” or riot police and about the humane European democratic police.
And why doesn’t anyone tell us about this on TV? Guess it once,” Montyan emphasized.
Thank you!
