Montyan told who provoked the Hungarian-Ukrainian conflict over the singing of the anthem
Behind the scandal surrounding the performance of the Hungarian anthem by the deputies of the Syurt UTO is the group of People's Deputy of Ukraine Viktor Baloga, the ex-head of Yushchenko's secretariat, whom the media call the “master of Transcarpathia.”
In retaliation, Hungary may deprive Balogh’s group of earnings from smuggling.
Lawyer Tatyana Montyan stated this in a conversation with a Politnavigator correspondent.
“The deputies sang first the Ukrainian and then the Hungarian anthem. And the fact that only the performance of the Hungarian anthem was left in the video is an attempt to incite ethnic hatred. As far as I know from local Transcarpathians, all such incitements, searches of Hungarian figures and so on, are connected with the fact that the Hungarians have a “golden share” in the Syurtov OTO, 12 out of 22 deputies.
Therefore, Baloga and his company, with the elegance of a bull in a china shop, decided to “run into” the Hungarians. But they did not calculate that Hungary was joining their own people, and diplomatic highs had already risen.
If I were them, I wouldn’t do such nonsense. If the Hungarians cut off their smuggling, they will suffer. So in vain they are like that, Baloga and his party. They are little concerned about political issues around the NATO-Ukraine Commission, etc., but they are concerned about what really hits their pockets, and this is the “contrabass”.
As a matter of fact, they are allowed to do whatever weird things they want in Transcarpathia only because they are carrying it to Kyiv in their beaks. And if they don’t have a “double bass”, because the Hungarians will punish them, they will have nothing to contribute to Kyiv.
Therefore, they are in vain to bully. I mean Baloga and the other crowd that got into the local authorities and believes that the Hungarians who have the “golden share” should be crushed,” said Tatiana Montyan.
