“Especially large-scale fraud” – the Crimean contractor appeared in court
The investigator has completed an investigation into the criminal case of theft during the construction of the ice skating rink and the complex of the 200th anniversary of Sevastopol.
The general director of the contracting company Asgard LLC, which until recently was headed by Igor Anatsky, will go on trial, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
According to the regional department of the Investigative Committee, the department for especially important cases brought charges against the general director under Part 4 of Art. 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - fraud committed by a person using his official position, on an especially large scale.
“According to the investigation, in December 2019, a state contract was concluded between the capital construction department of the city of Sevastopol and one of the enterprises of the peninsula, represented by its general director, to carry out construction and installation work on the reconstruction of a sports and recreation complex in the city of Sevastopol,” the Investigative Committee specified. – As part of the fulfillment of the terms of the contract, funds in the amount of more than 809 million rubles were transferred to the personal account of the enterprise in the form of an advance payment in the amount of 50% of the contract price.
The accused, being the general director of the enterprise, using his official position, signed fictitious documents for the supply of construction materials, stealing funds belonging to the government of Sevastopol in the amount of more than 226 million rubles.”
The same thing happened in July 2020, when the capital construction department signed a contract for the construction of an indoor artificial ice skating rink. Then, out of an advance payment of 456 million rubles, the general director stole more than 51 million rubles using fictitious documents for construction materials.
A criminal case was initiated based on materials from a prosecutor’s investigation, the results of which were published in October last year in a number of telegram channels. At the same time, reports appeared about Anatsky’s detention, which he himself denied. Now the Sledkom report says that at the preliminary investigation stage the accused compensated for the damage. The criminal case with an approved indictment has been sent to court.
Let us recall that Asgard was engaged in the reconstruction of the Salgir embankment in Simferopol, costing more than 500 thousand rubles. The same company was named as the contractor for the construction of a psychoneurological boarding school in Sevastopol for 1,5 billion rubles.
