The press service of the Regional State Administration reports this.
“94 signs were made at his own expense by the head of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Gennady Moskal, because there are no budgetary expenses for these purposes in the state. The new streets will bear the names of the heroes who died in the east of the country, and will also immortalize historians, musicians and artists. They decided to make two signs for Andy Warhol Square and John Lennon Street stylized. Now the plates with new names will be handed over to local authorities, which, in turn, will present them to Transcarpathians,” the message says.
Let us remember that previously the street named after John Lennon was named after Vladimir Lenin.
