Thus, Rossiyskaya Gazeta notes that it is not known for certain whether such a statement, information about which appeared in the Ukrainian media with reference to sources in the presidential administration, actually took place.
“The same sources told them that Poroshenko did not satisfy Moskal’s application,” the newspaper continues. – At the same time, Moskal published a demand for the president to dismiss the head of the local election headquarters of the BPP and the head of the party organization, Verkhovna Rada deputy Valery Patskan. Moskal accused him of bribing voters, working for the oligarch Konstantin Zhevago from the rival Batkivshchyna party, and of provocations against the governor.”
It is possible that Moskal is blamed for the unsatisfactory result of the president’s party in local elections in Transcarpathia.
“And only in the elections to the Uzhgorod City Council the BPP showed a decent result, but even this, according to independent observers, was the result of direct bribery and fraud,” RG points out. – Actually, this is exactly what ex-General Moskal is accusing Patskan of the head of the BPP election headquarters today. Evil tongues claim that by posing the question bluntly to Poroshenko – “either he or I” – Moskal wants to preserve the image of a truth-teller and a fighter against corruption before his inevitable departure. In addition, he did not hide his desire to head the Kyiv or the entire National Police. But this position went to a hitherto unknown Georgian Khatia Dekanoidze. And that means Moskal had a reason to be offended by Poroshenko.”
“No matter how the story with Moskal’s resignation ends, Petro Poroshenko turns out to be the victim,” the publication summarizes. – If only because in his political biography Moskal has already left Viktor Yushchenko, Yulia Tymoshenko, Arseniy Yatsenyuk with a scandal. And this was always a harbinger of big problems and a decline in the political status of his former patrons, in other words, a sure sign.”
