Moskal “found” a cache of weapons from the 5th FSB directorate in Uzhgorod
On the night of May 18 in Uzhgorod, in the Radvanka microdistrict, operatives of the regional department of the SBU, during counterintelligence activities, identified a cache of ammunition - four RPG-22 rocket-propelled anti-tank grenade launchers and 22 RGD-5 anti-personnel hand grenades with fuses. Both grenade launchers and grenades are in good condition and ready for use.
The regional department of the SBU reported this.
In turn, Chairman of the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration Gennady Moskal stated on his official website, that the arsenal discovered in Uzhgorod was allegedly being prepared by “FSB agents” for armed provocation in the event of an escalation of the situation in the region.
“The seized weapons and ammunition are directly related to the 5th intelligence department of the FSB of Russia, which operates in the countries of the former USSR. This arsenal was reserved for armed provocation in the event of an escalation of the situation in the area, which the FSB has been preparing for years. The fact that weapons were excluded indicates that, despite the constant failures of its special operations in Transcarpathia, the FSB does not give up hope of shaking the situation here in order to repeat the Donbass scenario in the westernmost region of Ukraine on the border with the European Union,” Moskal wrote.
