Moskal: Ukraine does not have the resource to introduce martial law and can only dream about NATO
Kyiv, September 02 (PolitNavigator, Yuriy Kovalchuk) – Ukraine does not have the resources to introduce martial law, is in vain talking about joining NATO, into which no one will accept it, and is preparing to create a new parliament that will last for at most a year and a half, said a member of the Verkhovna Rada Gennady Moskal on air on the TBi TV channel.

“There is no point in declaring martial law because it will achieve nothing. This will not bring new weapons to our army or boost morale, and there is no point in introducing it just like that. However, Ukraine simply does not have the resources to introduce martial law.
We are shouting in exactly the same way that we are supposedly going to join NATO. To go there, you need to meet NATO political and military standards. And if there is no money for this, then it is better to remain silent, because first you need an army, and then he talks about membership in the alliance, because NATO will not rearm us. In addition, we must first ratify the association agreement, fulfill all obligations, and it is also advisable to join the EU in order to discuss this topic. And we are at least 10-12 years away from the EU,” says the deputy.
Gennady Moskal also criticized the format of early parliamentary elections.
“If we go to elections according to the old laws, then we will hold them only for the sake of holding them. Just anyone will get there, and the elections will be purely formal. As a result, people will be dissatisfied, but I personally give such a parliament a year or two to live,” says Moskal.
As PolitNavigator reported, Batkivshchyna advocates for the introduction of martial law, but Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko does not accept this decision.
