Moskal saw a new “poisoning of Yushchenko”
it is possible that the assassination attempt on the assistant to the President of Ukraine Sergei Shefir was the same staging as the alleged poisoning of Viktor Yushchenko in 2004.
The ex-head of the Lugansk and Transcarpathian Regional State Administrations, Lieutenant General Gennady Moskal, said this on the Ukraine 24 channel, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“How did they not find the one who poisoned Yushchenko? Because he wasn't there. There was no poisoning. He wanted to blame it on his godfather, Zhvania. There were many civil and criminal cases, I defended him in all of them. Because there was no actual poisoning, it turned out the way it happened with Shefir today. Those who were there say that Shefir was not there,” the general noted.
“I'm not saying it was staged. I'm leaving out the political component. If there was anything, it was pure crime. There was no politics. Firstly, it was, as it is now fashionable to say, the president’s wallet. It contained all the accounts in Cyprus, on the islands, in offshore companies and the like. Everyone knew that this man was rich. Perhaps it was an attack solely for the purpose of, let's say, robbery. I’m 50/50, but I’m more inclined to believe that this is a staged event,” Moskal said.
