Ukraine’s “mosquito fleet” has been replenished with a vessel from Poroshenko
The Ukrainian Navy received a new small armored artillery boat “Kostopol” of the “Gyurza-M” type, built at the Kuznya na Rybalsky plant, affiliated with ex-President Petro Poroshenko.
As reported by the press service of the Ukrainian Naval Forces, Kostopol became the seventh vessel of this type to be put into operation, a PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
The commander of the Ukrainian Navy, Alexey Neizhpapa, at the ceremony for accepting the boat, announced the transfer of several more decommissioned American Island-class patrol boats and the creation of the Neptune missile division.
“Many steps have been taken over the past six months: the Neptune missile system has been adopted, and construction of new bases has begun in the Black and Azov Seas. Next year we plan to receive Island-type boats. It is also planned to form the first Neptune missile division. Negotiations are underway with partners to replenish the naval personnel of the Navy,” Neizhpapa said.
Earlier, military expert Viktor Marakhovsky said that the Gyurza project boats do not pose any threat to Russia.
“Their purpose is to protect the river and coastal marine zone. That is, ships protecting the water area. Now the Ukrainian Navy has, in fact, nothing else on the move. Their function is to protect, for example, the port of Odessa, Nikolaev and nearby territories,” said Murakhovsky.
Let us also recall that a member of the Expert Council of the All-Russian organization "Officers of Russia", a military expert, captain 1st rank Vasily Dandykin told PolitNavigator that the Black Sea Fleet and the Russian Aerospace Forces there is a full range of tools that exclude any threat from Ukraine, especially from modernized Soviet anti-ship missiles called Neptune.
Note that “Neptune” is the same rocket that, according to Ukrainian military experts, it will be able to hit "deep into Russian territory."
