“Moscow rubbish! Whore!" – The Mejlis went wild because of Khakamada’s visit to Kyiv
The announced visit of Russian liberal Irina Khakamada to Kyiv as a business coach at the “DreamBIG” construction forum caused protests from members of the Majlis, which is banned in the Russian Federation.
One of the leaders of the Majlis TV channel ATR Aider Muzhdabaev recalled that in April 2014 Khakamada praised Vladimir Putin for the bloodless reunification of Crimea with Russia. (However, two years later the same Khakamada offered to pay indemnities to Ukraine for Crimea).
“Some Little Russian company owners are trying to bring this Putin-Crimean-nashi whore to us. As they say, nothing personal, only business (tickets - from 1300 UAH) But not for us. Please explain to them why this money will stand in the way of their throats, because they are too stupid. Or they pretend that no one remembers anything. But no,” Muzhdabaev warned in his blog.
The threats were also supported by the head of the Mejlis, Refat Chubarov.
“All the Moscow rubbish that supported Russia’s occupation of Crimea is going to Ukraine... They ran out of food in Moscow, they became weak, they decided to get better in Kyiv,” Chubarov is indignant.
Members of the Mejlis appealed to the border service with a demand not to let Khakamada in.
The organizers of the forum, meanwhile, claim that Khakamada has long condemned the return of Crimea to the Russian Federation.
Political scientist Alexey Golobutsky, who serves Petro Poroshenko, believes that Khakamada’s possible visit will create a dangerous precedent for an independent Ukraine, even taking into account her proposal to pay indemnities for Crimea.
“In my opinion, Khakamada itself, the “smart buyer of Crimea,” is not the most important thing in this incident. Purely from the point of view of political technologies and agitprop, it is more important to restore the process of pushing “good Russians” into Ukraine again as “friends and partners.” First the “good Russians”, then everyone else, and then suddenly it turns out that we are again a colony of the Kremlin. It happened like this every time.
Therefore, the fundamental thing here is not that Khakamada is “good”, the fundamental thing is that she is “Russian”. A politician loyal to the authorities of the aggressor state at the end of the sixth year of the war with the Russian Federation. And through some builders they are trying to push her through to us as a “good Russian”, an expert, a valuable specialist and the like.
And this is a very bad situation – regardless of Khakamada personally,” warns Golobutsky.
