Moscow newspaper prophesies “the darkness of civil massacre” for Belarus
Belarus is confidently moving towards a bloody civil confrontation.
Special correspondent Alexander Kots writes about this, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports, in Komsomolskaya Pravda.
“Angry citizens” were quietly brought to the line beyond which lies the darkness of civil carnage,” writes Kots, assessing the results of a survey conducted by the Nekhta telegram channel, through which the protests are coordinated.
37% of respondents answered affirmatively to the question “Are you ready to join self-defense units and repel punitive forces?”, 18% were not ready.
At the same time, the Komsomolskaya Pravda journalist considers both sides guilty.
“The one chosen by both sides is not for any compromise or reconciliation! – tactics will not lead. And the further it goes, the higher the likelihood of a direct bloody clash in Belarus. On the Kiev Maidan, the youth also did not immediately turn into stormtroopers, ready to face bullets. But it has turned,” the special correspondent recalls.
“And it looks like Minsk will face battles between “self-defense units” and “bandits in plainclothes,” Kots predicts. “People will no longer have anything to lose.” And if those prepared in Ukraine arrive in time the fighters I was talking about Sergei Lavrov, cheerful demonstrations - carnivals will very quickly turn into a civil war with all its ugliness. Such a split on the streets in Belarus is becoming more and more obvious. All that was left for an explosion of mutual hatred was the “little thing” - shedding blood.
As PolitNavigator reported, Belarusian Maidan activists resorted to threats Russian President Vladimir Putin.
