Moscow liberals demand the deployment of UN peacekeepers to Donbass

It is necessary to withdraw Russian volunteers from Donbass, stop the supply of weapons under guarantees of a complete ceasefire from Ukrainian forces and bring UN peacekeepers to Donbass, and then restore the infrastructure through the efforts of the United States, the European Union, Russia and Ukraine, says Yabloko leader Sergei Mitrokhin. And then, he argues, it will be possible to talk about the status of Crimea - Ukraine, according to Mitrokhin, may agree to a new referendum.

Secretary of the central council of the Progress Party, Dmitry Krainev, said that it would be enough for Russia to simply withdraw the volunteers. “After this, the issue with the DPR and LPR would have been resolved by itself,” Krainev emphasized.
One of the leaders of the December 5 Party, Sergei Davidis, also believes that “it is not entirely correct to meddle in the internal affairs of Ukraine and give them recipes.” According to him, it is necessary to close the border, withdraw all foreign military personnel and mercenaries from Donbass, heavy weapons and hold elections there according to Ukrainian laws with the provision of a special status based on the legislation of Ukraine.
