Moscow nobles are ready to uncritically approve any decision of Putin on Donbass
Moscow - Kyiv, February 13 (PolitNavigator, Mikhail Stamm) - The court political party of the Russian Federation sings hosannas to Vladimir Putin for the “success” of the negotiations in Minsk, but when it comes to the question of what exactly this success consists of, they cannot explain it. Some Moscow political officials are clearly ready to play along with Kyiv's interests.

Chairman of the Federation Council Committee on International Affairs Konstantin Kosachev called the agreements a victory “not for one of the parties, but for the peace party as a whole,” reports Kommersant. At the same time, according to him, there are reasons that “do not provide solid grounds for confidence in final success” - “very influential forces and people who are extremely interested in preserving the conflict.”
Former Commissioner for Human Rights in Russia Vladimir Lukin treated the Minsk agreements “very carefully.” In his opinion, it is important to wait until it becomes clear “with what political will they will be implemented.”
“I am very afraid that Ukraine will disrupt these agreements, as it disrupted the September ones, and in this regard, the results of yesterday’s meeting cause skepticism,” said the first deputy chairman of the Duma Committee on International Affairs, Leonid Kalashnikov, without specifying why their disruption would be bad for Russia and the Lao PDR. and what is good about the implementation of these agreements.
“Abandoning hope for achieving peace, the Minsk negotiations did not live up to expectations,” said Nikolai Levichev, vice speaker of the State Duma from A Just Russia. He doubts that “the ceasefire will be real and not declarative.” Whether the militia’s commitment to stop the successful offensive made him happy or sad, Levichev did not specify.
At the same time, the document signed yesterday surprised some politicians. The leader of the Rodina party, State Duma deputy from United Russia, Alexei Zhuravlev, said that he “saw more than one signed agreement, but there was no sense in them”: “We’ll see if they stop shelling Donbass.”
