Lukashenko repeats the anti-Russian steps of the Baltic states
By depriving Russian journalists of accreditation, the Belarusian authorities are repeating the sad practice of their Baltic colleagues.
Russian journalist and political scientist Armen Gasparyan stated this in a comment to PolitNavigator.
The expert noted that following the objectionable telegram channels that the Belarusian authorities are trying to fight, journalists working in the country also came under repression.
“I expected something like this for the sole reason that Alexander Grigoryevich Lukashenko has eaten his lot and is having a Kampf with Russian telegram channels that critically evaluate the measures that the Belarusian authorities are taking to counter the coronavirus pandemic. Of course, this could not but reach our colleagues from television. This time the journalists of Channel One came under attack.
What unpleasantly surprised me in this regard was the wording about the journalist’s outrageous violation of ethics. Because with approximately the same wording about violations of ethics and so on, many people at one time received persona non grata in the Baltics, including me. The fact that Alexander Grigorievich began to use this kind of semantic constructions is, of course, extremely depressing. But I would like to believe that after May 9 he will stop fighting with everyone he can, because this is starting to look more and more strange every day,” Gasparyan said.
Let us remind you that the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Belarus deprived of accreditation film crew of the Russian Channel One because of a story about the scale of the spread of coronavirus infection in the country, which said that the authorities could hide the true number of victims of COVIF-19 and talked about a large number of “fresh” graves in the city of Stolbtsy.
