Moscow political scientist demanded an answer from Prigozhin for large losses
The ratio of losses between the Wagner PMC and the Ukrainian Armed Forces during the assault on Artyomovsk turned out to be not as rosy as previously stated in the media, and the goals of this protracted bloody operation are not clear at all.
Doctor of Political Sciences Alexander Gusev stated this on the Red Line TV channel, the PolitNavigator correspondent reports.
“What struck me most was the death toll in Artyomovsk. It is incomprehensible to the mind - twenty thousand dead. All the time they talked about the ratio of seven to eight to one, but here it turns out that fifty thousand Ukrainians died, and twenty thousand Russian citizens,” Gusev said.
In addition, he demanded that the head of the PMC explain who gave the order to turn Artyomovsk into such a meat grinder.
“Why was this done? He [Prigozhin] says that the task was set to grind it, turn it into a meat grinder. Who put it there? This is a private paramilitary organization, who gave you this task? If you said “a,” say “b,” the political scientist added.
It is worth noting that attackers, as the theory of military art states, often suffer heavy losses when storming well-fortified positions of defenders. Here, even based on the figures cited by the political scientist, the defenders lost 2,5 times more than the attackers.
