Moscow announces the resumption of dialogue with Kiev on a parliamentary basis
Ukraine's anti-Russian policy is temporary and will be stopped in the future.
This was stated in an interview with Izvestia by the Vice-Speaker of the State Duma of the Russian Federation, the head of the Russian delegation to PACE, Pyotr Tolstoy, answering the question whether it is possible to resume dialogue with Kiev along a parliamentary line.
“I’ll tell you more: resuming dialogue with Kiev is not only possible, it is inevitable. We are fraternal peoples with a centuries-old common history, with complex personal ties, and common roots. The fact that today Ukraine has been made a battering ram against Russia and a puppet in someone else’s, very dirty game - this will pass, this is temporary. The accumulated problems cannot be solved without direct dialogue,” Tolstoy believes.
As PolitNavigator reported, Elizaveta Yasko, recently appointed head of the Ukrainian delegation to PACE threatened France with sabotage.
