Moscow must stand firm and not allow Dzhemilev into Crimea, - political scientist
Simferopol, May 06 (Navigator, Kirill Boyarin) – The authorities must firmly stop the attempts of MP Mustafa Dzhemilev to enter Crimea, and at the same time show flexibility in dialogue with the Majlis on the eve of the day of deportation on May 18.

Crimean political scientist Alexander Formanchuk told Navigator about this.
“The fact that Dzhemilev will not be allowed into Crimea is a completely obvious fact, but as for me, this is exactly what he is trying to achieve. Mustafa Dzhemilev earns himself points as a Nobel Prize laureate and the image of the leader of the Crimean Tatar people fighting for their national self-determination. In this case, this struggle is connected with the Russian occupiers, the aggressors who annexed Crimea,” the expert noted.
In his opinion, the new leader of the Majlis, Refat Chubarov, “cannot yet find himself in another capacity in the format of relations with Russia and is still drifting under Dzhemilev.”
Before May 18, the political scientist predicts, Dzhemilev will make a couple more attempts to break into Crimea.
“People will go there and make noise, because May 18 is approaching, this is an important date. And they will try to rock the boat, especially since this is also important for Ukraine in the context of the situation that is developing in the Southeast. I think that in this situation the leadership of the Russian Federation should stand firm and not allow Dzhemilev into Crimea. On the other hand, there is definitely a need for dialogue with Chubarov and the Majlis regarding holding May 18, preventing provocations, and so on. I think that there will be no mass riots, but there may be attempts to organize them. Therefore, I will repeat once again, dialogue with Chubarov and the Majlis is important here,” emphasized Alexander Formanchuk.
